These are my Great Grandmother's parents. I have not been able to find a lot of information about this line, and I need to focus some more research on them.
Journaling reads:
General Andrew Jackson Eulett married Malvina Gent some time before 1880. Jack, as he was known, was 17 years older than his wife, "Lizzie". I believe he was about 32 when he married his 17 year old wife. You can tell by this drawing of them that he appears to be older than she was.
My great grandmother, Nannie Catherine Eulett was born in 1880. Her sister, Sallie was born in 1882. Lizzie apparently died during (or shortly after) her birth. Although Jack was left with two little girls to care for, I have found no record of him ever marrying again. I have relatively little information about this family. Jack's name is recorded as General Andrew Jackson Eulett on several documents and deeds. I don't know if "General" was part of his name, or if he had a military career at some point before his marriage (which could explain why he didn't marry earlier). I also have found no Gent family in Lewis Co., KY. I have much more information on the Eulett generations before Jack, dating back to his grandfather, who served in the Revolutionary War, but there is much research to be done on this line. 9/2009
I used by Blank Album QP for this layout, which will be in the store soon. I'll be back with links as soon as they are available.
